Heat Shrink Pole Protection Sleeve is manufactured from High Quality Cross-linked polyolefin material. It is used on Street lighting poles for Corrosion protection. It provides superior environmental sealing, rugged mechanical protection and high performance electrical insulation.
The combination of Pole Protection Sleeve and Epoxy Paint has been designed to protect poles against decay at the critical ground-line area. It is the Best & Cost-effective Solution for long term maintenance of Poles.
Features & Benefits
- Hot melt adhesive lining provides 100% environmental sealing against weathering, moisture, contamination and adverse environmental conditions according to IP 68.
- Provides permanent waterproof barrier & environmental seal.
- High resistance to UV rays, chemicals, corrosion, fungus, etc.
- Stocking only a few sizes will fit most repair needs.
- Sleeve can be cut to size in field to suit application.
- Custom dimensions available on request.
- Service life of Pole Protection Sleeve is more than 30 years.
- Easy installation on concrete, steel or composite poles.
- Use of Pole Protection Sleeves typically adds some nominal percentage to the total cost of New Pole replacement.
- Standard Heat Shrinkable Sleeve (GMW) in tubular form is recommended to use on fresh Poles before installation for corrosion protection.
Diagram
Pole Protection Sleeve has many recommeneded uses
- Relocated or reused poles
- New poles, especially those to be set in pavement
- Poles set in locations vulnerable to decay
- High value installations
- Standing poles that have the ground-line disturbed for underground cable installations or grade change
- Poles stored for six months or more

FAQs
1. What is a Heat Shrink Shroud?
A Heat Shrink Shroud is a protective sleeve made from cross-linked polymer material that shrinks when heat is applied. It provides insulation, sealing, and mechanical protection for cables, joints, and terminations.
2. How does a Heat Shrink Shroud work?
When heat is applied using a heat gun or torch, the shroud shrinks uniformly and tightly wraps around the cable or joint, creating a secure and sealed covering.
