Barrier Board Sheet

Home / Barrier Board Sheet

Gala Barrier Board (GBBS) sheets are Non-shrinkable sheets designed to secure and insulate the underside of structures where there are reduced clearance. Also GBBS sheet acts as inter-phase barrier for switchgear applications. It can be easily fabricated into a shape.

The use of GBBS sheets allows switchgear cabinets to be protected against inter-phase flash-overs caused by contaminants, moisture and animals.

These extremely durable sheets are damage resistant to mechanical impact are general wear and tear usage. Machining properties allow sheets to be cut and drilled for mounting without the need of special equipments. The GBBS sheets withstands power-arcs without changing its shape. The high temperature resistant material cab be wiped clean after power-arc events resulting in no visible effects of surface damages.

FAQs

1. What is a Heat Shrink Shroud?

A Heat Shrink Shroud is a protective sleeve made from cross-linked polymer material that shrinks when heat is applied. It provides insulation, sealing, and mechanical protection for cables, joints, and terminations.

When heat is applied using a heat gun or torch, the shroud shrinks uniformly and tightly wraps around the cable or joint, creating a secure and sealed covering.

When heat is applied using a heat gun or torch, the shroud shrinks uniformly and tightly wraps around the cable or joint, creating a secure and sealed covering.

It is typically made from cross-linked polyolefin material, often containing carbon black for UV resistance and weather protection.
