Mastic Tape is a cold-applied butyl sealant designed for use with Gala Heat Cable Joint and Termination kits to offer excellent water sealing and weatherproofing.
Black Mastic (HBMT):
Black mastic is suitable for LV and MV applications. It is used for sealing and waterproofing of electrical installations such as joints and terminations, as well as in telecom installations.Red Mastic (HRMT):
Red mastic is used in MV terminations to ensure a watertight seal on breakout boots, non-tracking tube and on lugs.Yellow Stress Control Mastic (HSCM):
Stress relief void filling mastic is used on connectors and at screen cuts when doing medium voltage joints and termination installations.Features & Benefits
- Excellent adhesive and sealing capability
- Good di-electrical properties
- UV and weather resistance
- Resistant to chemicals

FAQs
1. What is a Heat Shrink Shroud?
A Heat Shrink Shroud is a protective sleeve made from cross-linked polymer material that shrinks when heat is applied. It provides insulation, sealing, and mechanical protection for cables, joints, and terminations.
2. How does a Heat Shrink Shroud work?
When heat is applied using a heat gun or torch, the shroud shrinks uniformly and tightly wraps around the cable or joint, creating a secure and sealed covering.

3. What material is Heat Shrink Shroud made of?
It is typically made from cross-linked polyolefin material, often containing carbon black for UV resistance and weather protection.
